If you are thinking of visiting one of the more beautiful national parks in the UK called Dartmoor then you are not alone. Many people enjoy and explore Dartmoor National park daily. Dartmoor National Park has many activities to choose from including walking, cycling, climbing and riding. There is a nice large network of trails and paths to help you enjoy and explore Dartmoor.

The walking and cycling tours in Dartmoor are always led by experienced guides; there is a lot of information being giving out in their Information Centeres.  Dartmoor has everything a cyclist could want and wish for including no traffic on the trails, a quiet forest track, many challenging bridleways, and historic lanes to enjoy as long as you’d like. If you are interested also Dartmoor has the Tour of Britain passing over it.

In addition to the cycling and walking you can enjoy horseback riding, not as comfortable as sitting in your Rattan furniture but much more fun. You can also indulge in climbing there are many places for beginners to the more experienced to climb. If you would like more of a challenge you can enjoy geocaching and letterboxing. Both activities are known to be wonderful ways to enjoy the country. Geocaching is hunting out hidden caches with maps and GPS’s. Letterboxing however is a mixture of orienteering and hunting treasures. Both of which are great ways to explore and enjoy Dartmoor. Not quite as relaxing as lounging on your cheap rattan garden furniture but almost and we at the National Parks portal can guarantee that it is way more fun and a great way to vacation.
