National Parks Portal

The National parks portal consists of 15 different national parks all across Britain. They are filled with beautiful areas of mountains, meadows, woods, wetlands and moorlands. They are protected areas on the countryside for every one of all ages to visit; some people even live and work there.

The following National parks are part of the national parks portal:

  • Brecon Beacons: Brecon Beacon is a mountain range in Wales. It includes the highest mountain in South Wales that is called Pen y Fan.
  • Broads: The Broads is an area with rivers and lakes in Norfolk and Suffolk. It has some small surrounding land that is protected as a UK National Park.
  • Cairngorms: Cairngorms is home to Britain’s highest mountain range. It is filled with many clean rivers, lochs, moorland and farmland.
  • Dartmoor: Is a moorland area in Devon, England. It is protected as a UK National park.
  • Exmoor: An area in South West England consisting of moorland, with large hills mountains.
  • Lake District: The Lake District is also known as the Lakeland which is a mountainous area in North West England.
